Lark is an Australian single malt whisky, proudly unique in character and style, crafted in small batches exclusively from pure Tasmanian ingredients, matured in small barrels, hand-bottled by whisky lovers in Tasmania for whisky lovers world-wide.
Lark Distillery was the first licensed distillery in Tasmania since 1839. It was established in 1992 to produce Australian malt whisky, rich in character with a big finish using Tasmanian ingredients. Lark distillery will be show casing their selection of Single Malt Whiskys at Top Shelf.
Bill Lark will be involved with the Question and Answers on stage on Sunday the 9th of February.
Old Hobart Distillery (Overeem)
Old Hobart Distillery specialises in producing hand-crafted, single cask, single malt whisky. They distil around 40 runs a year, with most of the whisky stored in 100-litre or ‘quarter casks’, which comes from the South Australian Cooperage. They are French oak casks which are ex-sherry and port barrels that are cut down to the smaller size. Some of the original casks contained premium port which was over 50 years old. The Old Hobart Dsitillery will be showcasing their finest Single Malt whiskys at Top Shelf. This will include Overeem Single Malt Whisky Port and sherry cask matured bottled at 43% ABV and 60% (Cask Strength) ABV
